ambient expressions is a home based studio in Long Beach, California. It is owned and operated by husband and wife team, Pat and Tamara Holzhauer. The goal from our startup in 1999 was to provide customized, affordable products and services, with an artistic approach. Beyond the simple plan that we had, we also wanted to create a fun experience for those who trusted us with the responsibility of photographing their wedding.

ambient expressions was originally the name given to the hand colored photographs that were the foundation and the passion for photographic art that is still present each time I look through the viewfinder of a camera.

Our photography is based on digital capture. We use professional digital equipment to achieve high resolution files which translate into beautiful photographic and fine art prints.
